St. Clair County Watershed Information

Official St. Clair County Watershed Logo

Port Huron Schools is a proud member of the St. Clair County Watershed Advisory Group.

What is a watershed?

It is all of our properties that carry streams, creeks and rivers into Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. It includes wetlands, groundwater and our neighborhood storm drains and ditches. As part of this group, we partner with St. Clair County, local communities and other school districts to meet federal regulations from the Clean Water Act requiring storm water runoff to be cleaner from our streets, yards, and cities.

Please visit the St. Clair County Watershed website for more information about efforts to improve water quality within our community and to check out family activities that help support these clean water initiatives.
